Staying at home (May 2020)

Hi everyone!

It has been a long time since you’ve heard from us. It’s all been pretty crazy recently for us all and like everyone else, Josh, Wally and I have just been trying to figure out our new normal. Things seem to be settling down though so I thought I would send a quick little post to let you all know: We are doing fine.

It was really funny, just before the Californian Governor declared that everyone had to quarantine themselves at home, I had a little premonition a few days before and went to Target and stocked up like crazy.

Getting supplies!

Josh thought I was a little crazy when I arrived home with this stash but literally 24 hours later, the Californian Governor made his surprise announcement and we gave a sigh of relief that we would not be part of the mad rush of people trying to get supplies.

It took Josh and I a little while to get used to working from home. We divided up our work days taking care of Wally so that while one of us was in a meeting, the other would be with Wally.

We also made sure to get some fresh air everyday.

When I send out this post, we will be heading into our 9th week of quarantine and thus far, the most fun we’ve had is introducing Wally to solids!

Wally’s meal prep

It’s been a lot of fun making his food and watching his face when he tries something new.

But most of all, Josh and I have taken this time to really enjoy watching Wally grow up. In such stressful and unsure times, it has been a silver lining to get quality time as a little family, something we would not have been able to if Josh and I were at the office full-time and Wally was at daycare full time.

So in the meantime, we’ll just get used to this new normal.

I hope that you are all safe and healthy and hopefully we can all catch up when the world gets to some semblance of normal.

Talk soon!

Look at those eyes, soooo cute. Beautiful family. I’m kinda liking lockdown, no pressure. Have to say I’m over cooking, I want to go to a restaurant or would settle for pub.

Omg..Wally is a little babe!! Just adorable! 9 weeks is a looooong time to be locked away, but no doubt Wally provides the entertainment every day! A plus for you guys is that you’ll leave lockdown and go straight into the sunny weather! Bliss! xoxo

Look at Wally! what a handsome little dude 😍 Great to hear that you are all going well xx

I may be biased but is Wally not the most photogenic little cutie going around? Sitting like an absolute boss! Love and miss you guys xx
