Announcing the arrival of Oscar Singh Delaney (Oct 2021)

Hi everyone!

We have been quiet for a little a while and with good reason, we have been preparing for the arrival of our latest little bundle of joy. It was really stressful because Wally’s 2nd birthday party was on October 2nd and I began feeling Braxton Hicks and some contractions a week before. But not to worry, we were able to have Wally’s second birthday without any interruptions.

Because I had gestational diabetes, I went in for an induction on the 17th of October. We made sure though that Wally was well looked after by our trusted babysitter and was having so much fun he didn’t miss us. Everyone told us that an induction can take ages so Josh and I turned up to the hospital prepared for a long wait. Three hours later though, the nurse handed us this little man:

Introducing Oscar Singh Delaney who was born on 17 October 2021 at 7 lb 2 oz and 49 cm. Josh and I were a little shell shocked for a few hours after due to how fast it all went! But we recovered quickly and Josh raced out to get the first of many treats for me.

This time around, I really felt like I recovered way faster. Hence, Oscar and I returned home after only one day in the hospital. The crappy hospital food and low shower temperature were other reasons why I was dying to get back. When we managed to get home, we could finally introduce Wally to his little brother.

And this is where the real work began. Josh is off work until 3 December and I head back to work 3 January 2022. We’re figuring out how to handle two kids at a time and suffering from a complete lack of sleep but we are enjoying our growing family and cannot wait for all of you to meet both of our little men.

We’re hoping to do at least one little trip before Josh heads back so keep an eye out for our next update.
