Our wedding day finally arrived!!!! So the girls arrived early (9:30 am) at which point we trooped to the salon.
Nada, my beautician, did an amazing job!
The process was helped along with some alcohol.
Then it was time for my hair!
So from here we went back to my apartment to get dressed. Here, Al stole my camera.
Once I was dressed, I concentrated on breathing deeply and standing in front of the air conditioner.
So, this took an entire morning. The picture above was taken just before I took the Uber to the ceremony and about 45 minutes before walking down the ‘aisle’.
Meanwhile, in the groom’s camp…
After chilling out for a while and having breakfast at a leisurely pace, the groom and co. decided to get dressed.
The guys then moved on to the ceremony venue, the Carlton Gardens specifically at the Fountain Lawn.
After he arrived, Josh made sure all the chairs were placed out properly and waited for me.
Unfortunately the weather turned before the bride arrived! It caused some tense moments.
Josh made the difficult decision of moving the ceremony to the archway of the main building (the white one in the picture above).
This is when I arrived.
I walked down the aisle and was immersed in the ceremony.
Before we knew it, we were signing the marriage certificate.
Voila! We were married!
Then we spent some time hanging out, drinking champagne and beer and having photos.
Then, everyone went to Naked for Satan and whiled the afternoon away until the reception started.
Everyone went to the reception and waited for us. We turned up and thanked all our lovely guests.
And then it was time to eat and drink!
Once the reception wound down, we all went out for more cocktails!!
Anyway, at the end of this day, it dawned on myself and Josh that WE WERE MARRIED!! Husband and Wife … until the end of time. I’m looking forward to it, should be exciting!
Keep an eye on this space as I’ll post the professional photos when they’re done.
Talk soon,
Sim

Absolutely beautiful. Your dress was truly amazing and the day looked like such a wonderful relaxed affair. Josh didn’t look too bad either! Have to say, one of the nicest photos I have ever seen of Steve and Vicki. Looking forward to professional photos but love the naturalness of these photos.
Beautiful!!! Love you both xoxo
