Half Moon Bay

Well what do you know?! Two posts in a row! Remember Lis, she was one of the Scots I introduced in my previous post? Well, she suggested the brilliant idea of visiting Half Moon Bay.

Half Moon Bay was about an hours drive away. Josh and I, we got into the car and drove.

Like any trip outside the city, the road there was quite picturesque. Along the way we discovered where Santa gets his Christmas trees, …

we went past the smallest town carnival ever and ….

Yes! There was this weird curios place that had these enormous dinosaurs made from corroded metal. Not to worry though, Josh and I survived to tell this tale (brontosaurus didn’t see what hit him, hehe!).

We finally arrived at Half Moon Bay.

All those boats you see are fishing boats. I think if we arrived early enough in the day, you can just walk up to them and buy fresh fish. That’s what we saw several people doing at a couple of other boats.

We were early before we had to meet Lis and Pete, so we took a walk around.

We then went to lunch!!!

Cannot stand how they drop their u’s here. This place was really nice. It had a glorious table cloth.

And a great menu…

Josh and I had the coastside calamari, the mini Fish-trap tempura and some clam chowder (pronounced like the French waiter on the Simpsons). I didn’t get any pictures of that BUT I did take a picture of dessert!

Once I scraped off the whipped cream, this was awesome.

After lunch, it was time to call it a day because the weather turned on us.

That was it. Josh and I took the scenic route home and we were glad we did something with our weekend.

So excited. Expect to be bombarded with posts.

Talk soon,

Sim (and Josh)
